During checkout, we will provide the shipping rates for using Fed Ex, UPS and USPS as the return carrier for all of the boxes in your order. You will be able to select which carrier you prefer and that charge will be added to your purchase. Based on your selection, the appropriate return shipping label(s) will arrive with your order. All you'll need to do is apply them to each box as you're ready to ship and schedule a pickup with the carrier, at your convenience.
Alternatively, you may choose to Opt Out of our return shipping offerings if you already have an account with a carrier, if you would like to use a non-offered carrier or perhaps you'd like to drop the boxes off to our office in person. By selecting the Opt Out option, we will not charge you for return shipping and we will not include return shipping labels with your order.
We can re-send any lost or damaged labels for you at no extra charge. Please contact us and a member of our customer care team can assist you.
Step #1: When box is full, peel off the adhesive strip from the security tape (located at top-front of box) and seal box shut. This will keep your files safe during shipping. Feel free to add extra shipping tape if you prefer.
Step #2: Affix the provided shipping label to top of box within the indicated brackets. This label will reflect the preferred carrier previously chosen at time of checkout. If you opted out of our return shipping service, you will need to attach your own shipping label or information to the box.
Step #3: To better identify your box when watching the destruction video, feel free to add a unique identifier to the top of the box such as a name, label, etc. that only you will know. When you see this identifier in the video, you'll know for sure that it's your box.
Step #4: Schedule a pickup with the carrier chosen at checkout either online or over the phone at your convenience and according to your schedule. Another option is to bring the box to your carrier's local branch. Keep the box somewhere safe until then.
Step #5: We will send you an email alert once your box has been destroyed. At that time, your confirmation video and certificate of destruction will be available. Simply login to your account to view and/or download these files.
Yes. Simply choose the Opt Out option at the Select Return Shipping page during checkout and we will not charge you for return shipping. Please note however, that you will still be charged for the order's outbound shipping and handling costs.
If you opt out of return shipping, please return your filled box(es) to 159 Frontage Rd Manchester, NH 03103 either by mail or in person Monday-Friday 9:00AM-4:00PM.

Due to server storage limits, videos will be available online for 90 days from the timestamp of their original upload. We recommend that you download them at your earliest convenience prior to the expiration of this time limit. We will send you a reminder email 5 days prior to each video's removal.
Every box is implanted with an RFID chip which is scanned at the facility prior to being recorded. This chip contains a unique identifier that ties the box with your account. That is how our system knows which box is yours.
Additionally, we encourage our customers to mark the top of their box with something original and anonymous that will be easily recognizable in the video. This may include marking the box with text, symbols, stickers, etc. When you see your unique marking in the video, you'll be sure the box is yours.
Check your Spam or Junk Mail folder. It’s possible the alert emails have ended up there. Also, double-check that the subscription option for "Receive Destruction Alert Emails" is checked off for your account. To view or edit this selection, login to your account and select the My Profile page.
We will not open your box prior to shredding. Instead, the entire box is shredded along with its contents so no one except you ever directly handles your confidential information.
The only exception is if a large amount of metal is detected inside your box. To protect our shredding equipment, every box passes through a metal detector prior to entering the shredder. If metal is detected, we have no choice but to open the box for the sole purpose of removing the metal objects before the remaining contents are destroyed.
The detector sensitivity is set so that staples will not be triggered. However, large binder clips, 3 ring binders and other non-accepted items will likely set it off. Please avoid including non-accepted items to ensure that your box does not have to be opened.

NAID-compliance indicates that an organization adheres to NAID’s required standards and ethics and is therefore considered a certified service provider.
A facility that shreds confidential matieral must have strict protocols in place to ensure the security of confidential material throughout all stages of the destruction process including handling, transporting, storing materials prior to destruction, and the destruction itself. Some protocols include 24-hour security surveillance, restricted access, and working sprinkler systems. In addition, NAID’s extensive 3-level background screening ensures that no one with a criminal record will be handling your material and unannounced NAID audits ensure the facility meets all protocols on an ongoing basis.
